About Big Mama's on the Bayou in Panama City

Big Mama's on the Bayou has cooked Southern home cooking at 620 W Beach Dr in downtown Panama City for over 20 years. Silvio Tassotti owns and runs it. Best of Bay for Country Cooking since 2017. Over 20 years downtown

We have been on the water in downtown Panama City for over 20 years. Same address, same kind of cooking. Breakfast at 6:30 for people headed to work, a meat-and-two at lunch, and now brunch on the weekends.

Best of Bay since 2017

Best of Bay for Country Cooking, every year since 2017. We do not put much else on the wall. That one means something because it comes from the people eating here.

Silvio Tassotti owns Big Mama's. He is the one who answers when you ask what day the beef tips are, and the one who reads every review.

The beach store, 2026

In 2026 we opened Big Mama's PCB at 10071 Hutchison Blvd in Panama City Beach, in the old Applebee's building. Same kitchen ideas, with dinner, a full bar and Gulf seafood added. The Bayou store keeps doing what it has always done.
