How the plate works

Pick a meat and two sides for $13.99. Fish and two sides is $15.99. Shrimp or a combo with two sides is $16.99. A third side is $1.99 more.

The veggie plate is four sides for $12.50, and any dessert counts as a side. That is how a lot of people get their peach cobbler.

The weekday rotation

Fried chicken and country fried steak are on every day. Each weekday adds its own meats on top. This is the printed schedule, and the chef sometimes adds a pick of the day.

• Monday: beef tips over rice, plus the chef's choice
• Tuesday: fried pork chop, meatloaf with tomato gravy
• Wednesday: chicken and dumplings, grilled pork steak
• Thursday: baked chicken and dressing, smoked pork chops
• Friday: fish and shrimp

Sides every day

Mashed potatoes and gravy, rice and gravy, baked mac and cheese, green beans, cole slaw, tossed salad, fried okra and fries are on every day. The rest rotate. Lima beans and black eyed peas on Monday, collard greens on Wednesday, cheese grits on Friday, steamed cabbage three days a week.

Lunch runs 11 to 2:30

Order ahead on Toast if you are on a short break. Hours are posted but still being confirmed, so call first if you are driving far.
